A Web site touting Paris Hilton's racy television spot for burger chain Carl's Jr. crashed for four hours as Internet surfers raced to see the seductive swimsuit-clad socialite doused in suds.
The 30-second commercial, which features the hotel heiress washing a Bentley and chomping on Carl's Jr.'s Spicy BBQ Burger in a stringy black swimsuit, has generated media attention since hitting the TV airwaves last Thursday.
Carl's Jr., a unit of CKE Restaurants known for its male-focused ads and hefty burgers, at the same time launched a special Web site called SpicyParis.com featuring a special 60-second version of the ad.
A day later, the site crashed and was down for about four hours, the company said.
"It was a mixed blessing," Carl's Jr.'s executive vice president of marketing, Brad Haley, said in a statement. "It turned out that Paris was too hot for our servers."
Gee willikers, what's the fuss? It's just a commercial about hot meat and mayonnaise.
Suddenly I miss the Kenny Rogers Chicken Shack...although in the age of twisted advertising I loathe to think of what Paris would do with a drumstick.
Actually, Courtney Love cleans up nicely on occasion.

Carls Jr has good criss-cut fries, and I am not a hamburger or cheeseburger fan at all. (My life is all about pizza and pasta)
The only time I'll watch TV (and since we do not have cable) is when they show classic old latenight movies on channel 7 or 11. In fact the only shows my family watch latenight, are the first and original Star Trek series on DVD.
I also say the earlier the years (such as early 70's and before) the better the music.
Well I'm female so I'm not turned on by her but I do think she is very pretty and can see that men would find her sexy.

You are correct. I'd like to see some of the heffers waiting at home for some of those who criticize her looks. I'm sure the only reason THEY don't have modelling contracts is because their wimmens are just too good looking. ;)

OR, some would rationalize that personality is at least 50% of the attraction factor. And brother, the way she portrays herself on television and film, she is the ugliest woman on Earth. I wouldn't tap that on my most desperate of days. APf
