We got NOTHING from this deal. It's lousy and I hope Frist is ticked off as all get out.

Because they're liberals who lack the courage of conviction to say so.

Because Conservatism requires Courage and Truth. No moderate can deal with those two things.

I've bashed the GOP all night on this one, but suppose that ALL of Bush's nominees get a full vote? What if Frist's plan was nothing more than a veneer for the Dems to save a little face?
Naaaaaaaaaw!

Keep your powder dry, and wait for these folks to come into range. Save your ammo for now. But one day, we will make them pay.You are speaking figuratively, of course.

Heard this "guessed about" on Rush today. The idea was that the Democrats didn't really want to give the show away now but preferred to save their objection time for the Supreme Court nominees.
Looks like the "guess" was absolutely correct.
The Dems have lost their touch ~ took them a couple of months to realize they were going to hand all the power to the Republicans over relatively minor appointments.
Must be all the hard narcotics and drinking they've been into.

Unfortunatly, we have no recourse. We cannot give up the Senate in an attempt to punish the Senate Republicans. We cannot afford to cut off our noses to spite our faces. But the time will come, where we will have a chance to make our voices heard. Not tonight, not 2006 That's why they can do what they did. You can't punish them. They know, the democrats know it. So why don't you know it? Because since Reagan, the word has been, just wait until we control both the WH and Congress. But that's all it's ever been the word. Talk that don't match the walk.

You seem to assume that the Republicans will be in power forever. Tonight they maintained a rule that could be very important WHEN, not IF, the Democrats once again have the majority in the Senate.

Because a "moderate" is a liberal socialist that couldn't get elected in their district/state if they were honest and registered as democrats and didn't lie to their constituitants?!
