I agree the vote on the three, including Pryor whom Schumer said should be excluded from office because of his Catholic religious beliefs, is a good thing. But it seems that agreeing not to have a rules change vote on the filibuster in this Congress is a very heavy price to pay.

So we have a white Catholic, a black conservative, and a white Christian woman that could all be supreme court appointees ...

Exactly how will the Dems block other appointees ... our side can now appeal to the "you let Owen through, this one is less conservative ..."

I wanted to see the nuclear option implemented ... but I dont think this "deal" is all bad news.

I would be very delighted if all three of these nominees ended up on the supreme court within the next 2-3 years.
