If you think about it, what they're saying is true.
We got something out of the deal (vote on judges); they stated they wouldn't filibuster SCOTUS except in extreme cases (which means they'll of course filibuster, LOL), but to the American people, they'll hear that the Dems are breaking their promise to not filibuster which will be bad PR; and there's always the nuclear option for use in the future (and from what I was hearing today, I wasn't too sure we had the votes for it anyway.)
Of course they're fuming, let them rot, they really abhor the possibility of Owen, Pryor, Brown confirmations. Rule of thumb - if you want to know how big you won - look at the other side's reaction. :)

They're just mad because they believed the language of THEIR side....just like we did. To them Republicans are the worst thing since Hitler, to us Dems are. The leadership in both parties, and the President feel differently though. This is a game they play, and we watch. Maybe it is time we turned them off, and figured out a way to get rid of political parties, and make people run on their own initiative.
