What you are missing is this simple fact: The Rats have always claimed that there were extraordinary circumstances. That was their basis for opposing every judicial nominee they have opposed. All we have is a promise (and what is a Rat's promise worth?) that they will vote for cloture on three judges. In return, the RINOs promise to vote against the nuclear option. That's all.

There will be plenty of "extraordinary circumstances" justifying the filibuster in the Rats' tiny minds.

They have played McVain, etc. for fools. Which they are.

ok ... so lets go down your road...

some future judge is deemed (unfairly) to be extreme and is filibustered by the democrats...

.....

Then we just move to change the rules at that time to prevent filibusters.

The rules can be changed anytime we want them to be changed.

Everyone is acting like this is our one and only chance to change the rules.

The fact is we get a guarantee of confirmation on the judges we want most and if the dems shout "extreme circumstances" on future nominees we just pull the constitutional trigger then.... simple really.
