He said this in his press conference. I heard it on FNC.

He claimed victory in the Jaws of Defeat. What is new about that?

Although he let his base then know they had lost.

He did stop an abuse of power. His own abuse. Funny how he turns this on it's ear. Saying the radical right learned a lesson when it was the Radical Left that paid the price and really had to change their evil ways.

But I am not fooled and neither is the American Public.

My take:

Absolute disaster? No.

Grand victory? No.

Looks like at least Saad and Myers get thrown under the bus.

For weeks we have been saying there must be an up or down vote on every nominee. There will not be.

If for no other reason than the morale and energy of the base, we needed a decisive win, not a I-think-we-won-but-I'm-not-really-sure deal like this.
