It wasn't a complete sentence. When you write grammatically correct English, I'll understand what you're trying to say. :-)

Remind me to criticize your post when you put 4 commas in a row or misspell a word, in the mean time, clam up about my "grammatical error" when there was none.

The seven Republican signers were Sens. Mike DeWine of Ohio, Susan Collins of Maine, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Lincoln Chaffee of Rhode Island, John McCain of Arizona, John W. Warner of Virginia and Olympia J. Snowe of Maine

Boy howdy....several of those names tell it all. I would not even need to know the legislation to know it's probably not good.

I'm always wary of any Freeper who hasn't created an "about" page. What, is there nothing "about" you worth stating?

No arguments there. The surprising thing is that Bush didn't really spend any political capital on his appointees. That makes me wonder what he is saving up all this capital for which is wearing away fast. I think he will put it all on a Gonzalez nomination to the SC.

In the meantime, only the taxpayers and the future generation got screwed. It is OK, he is one of us.

They only get screwed by either going along with the Democrats, or doing nothing at all, which amounts to going along with the Democrats. No one is forced into Social Security, or planning for their retirement, or dying penniless. Stop buying into that Democrat nonsense that Conservatives are cold, heartless rubes, that FDR was a God, and that Social Security is the last vestage of retirees.

McCaine will NEVER win a presidential primary and he knows that; or he should.

No, I think Bush is "misunderestimated" too often and too much.

He'll pick his own fight, thank you very much.
McCain has won this round.

The three have been promised up or down votes.
Who's to know what else the cabal of 14 decided?
Maybe all of the three or two of the three or none of three will get enough "aye's!"

Then what?

He should, but I don't get the feeling he does.

Anyone know about the McCain movie coming out? I KNOW I heard something about it somewhere!

"It's unwritten, as I have already said, in the posting page, but it IS a rule."

Your argument fails, and I rest my case. Nitey nite.

What? I am the one who wants to abolish SS and you call me a Democrat? Is it too late, or are you simply crazy?

No one is forced into Social Security

What planet do you live in?

The surprising thing is that Bush didn't really spend any political capital on his appointees.

Like hell he didn't. It bothers you that he's persistent and will stop at nothing to get what he wants, whether it's judgeships, prescription drug bill, getting re-elected, or modernizing Social Security. That has been the bug up your ass. That's your problem, not mine.

Personally, I think Lindsay Graham is looking to be governor of his stae, so his participation might even help him achieve his aim with democrats in his state. He can likely kiss the conservative vote good-by, but until his demicrat opponent is known, even their votes can't be thoroughly dismissed.

If that's the case, then I believe that he is mistaken. I don't think this will help him win the governor's office in South Carolina.

We must live in different planets. What capital did he spend to get his judicials appointees confirmed?

Oh great........some of FR has called me a BUSHBOT for 5 solid years, claiming erroneously that I have NEVER publicly disagreed with him and now, YOU are saying that I've been "off the reservation recently" ( when I've been off FR for almost a month and NOT posting, because we were on vacation. ) because I say that what happened with McCaine was just terrible?

You either back up that "off the reservation" drivel, or apologize IMMEDIATELY !

I didn't blame the president for this screwup. Maybe I should have...you'd be happy then. LOL
