We definitely need more dead journalists, after all, they're becoming useless anyway with all the bloggers and truthful eye witness accounts of things going on....

bury them... no big loss...

Michele McNally, New York Times director of photography, concurred, observing: "War kills men, women and children, and we would be remiss if we couldn't in some way show that this is what happens in war . . . It's our responsibility to bear witness to these events."

So Michelle how many photos of people falling from the WTC did the New York Times publish?

Chris Hondros told the Times, "I think if we are going to start a war, we ought to be willing to show the consequences of that war."

Here are some of the consequences of that war, the ones that the noble American servicemen and women risk their lives to accomplish:

During World War II, the Roosevelt administration strictly prohibited news outlets from printing photos of dead U.S. soldiers because of the obvious blow it would be to American morale. And the press willingly complied.

Yeah, you stupid sh!ts, and we WON that war. The MSM needs to get the heck out of the way and let the military do it's job.

Wanna know how I really feel?? LOL!

I see Hanoi Kerry and Hanoi Jane's involvement in this.

It will keep getting worse until the GOP controlled Senate gets rid of the illegal, traitor in the US Senate.

John Kerry was dishonorably dismissed from the Navy:
(statement from lawyers there at the time)

Whoever in the US Senate that gave Hanoi Kerry
a Top Secret Clearance HAS seen all his military records.

The FBI, since 9/11, does non military clearances.

His most recent one who have been in the spring/summer of '04
when he won the dims's nomination against President Bush.

NO ONE gets a Top Secret Clearance WITHOUT agreeing to have all your records released.

OR pass a FULL FBI check when someone
runs for the highest elected
office in th ecountry.

Does the DC crowd think "We the People" are stupid?

Uphold the US Constituion!

Too bad the "Move On" FReepers just don't understand
the real threat that the likes of Hanoi Kerry pose to our country.

I just don't understand their reasoning in saying
"drop it", "your wasting your time", "give it up" etc.

Some even howl when I remind them the job is NOT done.

So why do they think I'll stop now?

Don't be like the Silent Majority in the 60's and 70's
Demand Kerry be ousted from the US Senate!

There is no need to impeach Hanoi Kerry from the US Senate

He is there illegally!

WAKEUP AMERICA!

For those who "forgot" what Hanoi Kerry
did in the past read on and learn the truth.

Hanoi Kerry was still a USNR officer while he:
gave false hearsay testimony to Congress
negotiated with the enemy
helped the US lose a war
abetted in the deaths of millions
created a hostile environment for all servicemen

Why is Kerry still in the US Senate?
This is in violation of
U.S. Constitution Amendment 14 Sec 3

And the FBI has proof of his treason.

Thanks to "reality" TV, we can now watch all kinds of sick stuff on TV that is meant to "inform". Since people people are being blown up, shot, and having terrible accidents in "news" and "documentaries" all over TV, and people are eating it up like there's no tomorrow, the media figures that they should be able to show this kind of stuff going on in Iraq, too.

This is how the media effectively killed support of Vietnam: they showed gruesome footage every night with Walter Kronkite moaning about how awful, immoral, and unwinnable the war was. Media treachery knows no bounds.

These people are ghouls. I remember when I was six, and my dad was on his third tour in Vietnam. I would watch the six-o'clock news, and I would see the film of wounded soldiers being taken onto choppers (and yes, I knew it was real).....that scared the hell out of me! For all I knew, my dad could have been one of those men being taken out under fire. All the MSM wants to do is destroy morale at home. We all know that the first rule of warfare is that young men die, and the second rule is that commanders can't change the first rule....why make it harder on the families to perhaps have to see their sons, brothers or fathers die on CNN? As I said, these "journalists" are just sick, depraved ghouls!

"Media want more photos of dead GIs."

In that case Our troops had better watch their backs. The media is no different from the vulture that said"Patience, HELL! I'm gonna kill something." We have no reason whatsoever to doubt that the MSM shares the buzzard's sentiments.

"Many photographers and editors believe they are delivering Americans an incomplete portrait of the violence that has killed 1,797 U.S. service members and their Western allies and wounded 12,516 Americans."

Bullshit.

Bill Mauldin, a CARTOONIST, for Pete's sake, didn't draw a single American soldier dead in his cartoons if I recall correctly.

But he managed to show the danger, difficulty, heroism and misery of the American soldiers who slogged their way through North Africa, Sicily, Italy, France and Germany.

Mauldin did his witnessing in the medium available to him, and in which he was superbly skilled. He showed the obvious weariness in the eyes of Willie and Joe, the impossibility of keeping dry in a foxhole in the rain, and so on.

If you want a challenge, Michele, go and do likewise. You don't have to show dead bodies.

Deirdre Sargent, whose husband was deployed to Iraq, recently complained to editors of the News Tribune of Tacoma, Wash., after the paper printed a photo of a dying GI that she said left her "shaking and in tears for hours."

"It was tacky, unprofessional and completely unnecessary," Sargent said.

MSNBC.com posted the same photo to their website, prompting complaints from the dying soldier's family.

Looks like the last time MSNBC will cross the screen in this household until they apologize.

I read the first 99 replies to this thread and have not seen this so I'll throw this out.

The embed program is a failure. The military commanders need to be instructed to inform all media types that they are on their own.

Our soldiers are too valuable to be used as the personal cab drivers and body guards for these ghouls who are HOPING to be attacked so they can get some good pictures. It is inevitable that one of these traitors will sell out a squad of soldiers to the terrorists for the exclusive media rights.

"Boys, it's a free country now. But it's a dangerous place. You're welcome to stay -- but you're on your own. Your presence is not welcome among our troops. You will be arrested as enemy combatants and sent to Gitmo if you are encountered by our soldiers. Now, get the hell out of my AO."
