... to John McCain as he was leaving to go to a premiere of the movie that was made about his life... May I suggest that any sequal to McVain's movie that includes this latest treachery be titled "The Filthy Fourteen" (takeoff on the Dirty Dozen)?

Part 1-B specifically says Saad and Myers are not included in the no filibuster pledge.
So the filibuster on them will continue. They will not get an up or down vote.

Well, over on another "the world is ending" thread, we are discussing if we got raped, diddled, groped or just given a wedgie today.LOL. I must admit to feeling like at least it's a wedgie.

Her lunch is 12:00 eastern time, so do you guys have any idea what will happen tomorrow? Go to lunch. No fireowrks tomorrow. Cloture vote was originally scheduled for noon. Not sure what effect the agreement has on that.

Part 1-B specifically says Saad and Myers are not included in the no filibuster pledge.Yes. It only guarantees the 3 that are the subject of the current floor vote. Any future ones, including those 3 can be filibustered. It doesn't say the GOP agrees with a filibuster of them. It just sayd there is no current agreement.
It might help you to read the preamble
Part I relates to the currently pending judicial nominees; Part II relates to subsequent individual nominations to be made by the President and to be acted upon by the Senates Judiciary Committee.
Only 5 fit into the Part I category and only 3 of the 5 are on the floor.

I don't know who or what you know, therefore I can't presume to know that there was double-dealing and backstabbing like this going on like you do.

I think we agree that Saad and Myers are not included in the non-filibuster agreement.
Therefore it's a safe assumption they will continue to be filibustered.
Are you saying you think the RINO seven might support the "nuclear" option to force a vote on these, even though the Dems' filibuster of them does not break the agreement?
To: Fudd Fan
Very interesting, indeed.

I am going to start praying for Marilyn Quayle to take the nomination for Gov'r of AZ next year and then I'm going to pray that McCain has to step down for health reasons shortly afterward. South Carolinans and Arizonians have been duped by closet democrats in sheeps clothing!
To: princess leah
The Quayles live in AZ now? Marilyn would be awsome guv of any state... I always liked her.

John LeBoutlier, former congressman from Long Island, NY, from a Newsmax archive, describes John McCain (from the 2000 campaign)-- John McCain: a short, driven man who has a side not yet seen by the national news media. A former congressman describes McCain this way: "The most mean-spirited man I have ever met. Ruthless and condescending. His problem is not, as has been written about, temper; his problem is that he treats people like dirt." The McCain campaign so far has only reflected the POW side of McCain. Voters are drawn to a war hero. And he plays the role of the anti-Clinton perfectly. But the voters have yet to get to know the "real" McCain. The media has so far helped to "mask" the "real McCain." An interesting note: virtually everyone who knows McCain opposes him. Almost every Republican senator and his own Republican governor in Arizona are supporting Bush. Why? Because McCain in person has treated these people horribly. They simply cant stand him - and it has absolutely nothing to do with campaign finance reform! It is his personality that has driven them away. His recent over-the-line TV ad comparing George W. Bush to Clinton is an example of the downside to a McCain candidacy: his mean-spiritedness may cause him to go too far. But because the national news media loves him, he is the favorite to win the GOP nomination. The question is: will the news media keep "pushing" him all the way through November or will they "turn" on McCain and support Gore?

Does anyone wonder if this compromise was reached quickly so that McCain could take a victory lap around the press room on his way to his MOVIE PREMIERE???? No ..
Remember yesterday it was reported that McCain would have something to say about the deal tonight
If I was to guess .. I think he and his team decided this long before tonight's presser

Those sell outs will vote against the three and we end up with nothing! Let's face it! That sellout McCain just hosed the entire party! No more money! I'm done! What's the point of supporting the party when we allow people like McCain to screw us over? All that time, energy and money down the drain!
