Sure he knows what his voters are; Byrd could shoot the Pope in downtown Wheeling in front of hundreds of photographers and his Democrats would still vote for the pork barrel king.
Well, what if he weren't bringing in the pork anymore? Isn't it just possible that the home state of senators Byrd and Rockefeller ought to get a big reduction in the amount of its federal funds this go-round? Hmmmm? Maybe then the voters of WV will realize that a new guy who is supported by the Majority will be better for their state.
Why we haven't stuck it to WV before now, I don't know.
