Would you elaborate a bit? It's playing in my town, but struck me as just an elogy to some hippie bum (sponging off a "landlord" who lets him crash for free) who likes birds, designed to elicit "Oh wow, Man!"s from a similar audience.
Would rational people get something from it, too?
I thought he was an alright guy with a great relationship with the birds.
I felt connected to the birds and felt very sympathetic towards him. I liked it very much.
It's not a political movie.
