Qaeda in Iraq says kills U.S. pilot - Web statement
DUBAI, May 22 (Reuters) - The al Qaeda group in Iraq said on Sunday it killed a U.S. pilot it had captured and posted pictures of what it said were his identity papers on the Internet.
The name on the documents was Neenus Khoshaba. U.S. forces have not reported any pilot as missing.
The statement was posted on a site often used by insurgents in Iraq but its authenticity could not be verified.
Same guy?
think it slightly odd. If they had captured a U.S. pilot, they would have touted it several days before killing him.
Yes, I did a google too. Reckon whoever it was was not a U.S. pilot...
Yeah, and our idiot leftist media is more concerned about us disrespecting the terrorist scum we have in custody.
Is Al Qaeda kidnapping GI Joe dolls again?

Zarqawi: US pilot executed
22/05/2005 21:44 - (SA)
Dubai - The group of al-Qaeda's frontman in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, claimed on Sunday to have executed an American hostage, in a statement on the internet accompanied by pictures of his driving licence.
"Your brothers in al-Qaeda in the Land of Two Rivers got their hands on a US pilot who turned out to have bombarded several mosques and the Sheraton hotel in Baghdad during the invasion of Iraq, as well as several civilian homes," according to the statement.
It said that "after questioning this infidel, the divine verdict was applied to him".
The statement, whose authenticity could not be verified, did not specify the date of the kidnapping, but it was accompanied by pictures of an Illinois driving licence in the name of Neenus Y Khoshaba, born November 27, 1948.
There was no immediate comment from the US military.
The group led by Zarqawi, Iraq's most wanted man with a 25-million-dollar US bounty on his head, has claimed a string of devastating attacks as well as kidnappings since the April 2003 fall of the Saddam Hussein regime.
What about the two F18s that collided in mid air over western Iraq? Were both of those guys recovered? I thought I heard about only one being found.
I'll never forget the day that GI Joe story broke as long as I live, and Dog and other freepers finding the "problems" with the photographs.
A 56 year old bomber pilot. Is that likely?
Both were recovered about a week or two ago.
It wasn't them unless the USN has 57 year old F18 pilots.
There has been speculation in Iraq for some time that Zarqawi is trying to take U.S. servicemen alive so they can be beheaded on tape. Handcuffs were found at the scene of one terrorist attack on U.S. forces.
However, I'm pretty darn sure this is not it. He would have stretched out the agony for several days, trying to get whoever they captured to criticize Bush on a tape then given to al-Jazeera. Then they would have beheaded him.
To kill him before you've announced you've captured him means one of two things:
1. It was not a U.S. serviceman, but maybe someone of Arabic origin who worked in some capacity for American forces.
2. No-one was killed at all and this is a hoax.
I'd reckon on the former, given how the execution of Iraqis and Arabic speakers probably happens several times a day.
