CHARLOTTE COUNTY (Florida) - A Port Charlotte man was arrested Friday and charged with kidnapping two young girls from their homes as their parents slept, then raping the girls before letting them go.
Erick Thomas Knapp, 31, is accused of entering the home Wednesday night of a 13-year-old girl who lived near him. Knapp threatened to cut the girl's throat, led her to a nearby home under construction and sexually assaulted her, her father said.
Knapp, a felon, is also accused of using similar methods to abduct and attack a 7-year-old girl only a few nights before.

both of them...
I'd be happy to volunteer in pulling the switch for this guy. Un-freakin-real the depravity of some people.
*sigh* not Florida again...
You know what's sad, besides the horror these girls went through? This doesn't even make front-page local news anymore. People should be outraged.
At least he didn't kill them!
Unbelievable isn't it? They need to cordon off the state and bring in the Marines for a little house to house op.
Meanwhile, on another thread earlier the Floriduh big deals are going back to court to seize Rush's medical records. (shaking head)
Thank God!
One for the head. One for the heart.
For just pennies, justice can be served.
Works for me. I was just playing along with JellyJam's
"Off with his head!!!"
BTW, TheWriterTX, I really appreciate your comment # 12 over on the "Gun Culture Threatens Democracy" thread...
Life without parole for this monster. Not death, because he didn't murder either little victim. There has to be "a little mercy" shown for those who show a little mercy to their victims.
My pleasure, and thank you.
Bring back public hangings.
just killed their innocence, their trust, their abilities to be little girls, their trust that dad will be there to protect them. The theory of life w/o parole is fine, but it doesn't seem to happen that way.
I think the death penalty should apply to sex crimes against children under 18.
I'm certain the parents and familes of the innocent little girls are GRATEFUL to have them back alive.
I am willing to bet my life, that Jessica's father and mother would have much preferred getting her back alive, albeit severely damaged. I know for a fact that Danielle VanDam's parents would give everything to have Danielle back alive. Ditto for the parents of Polly Klaas.
Of course their innocence has been robbed, and they'll need a lifetime of repair, but this monster didn't murder them.
IMO, there has to be some mercy shown to the monsters who do not murder. Call it an incentive to other monsters and a half-assed reward for not murdering.
Fine, but no special pervert prison time. Into the general population with them.
A result of last year's multiple hurricane hits..
Records have been lost, thousands have been forced to find temporary or new lodging...
Additionally, jobs in construction, house framing, roofing, electrical wiring, drywall, etc..
Construction companies are desperate for workers, and will take just about anyone that can stand and swing a hammer..
This is the perfect environment for migrant workers, temps, unskilled labor, etc..
And, those with a criminal history..
Nobody asks any questions, they usually get paid weekly, in cash, no paperwork, no taxes, under the table..
Those that are found out just walk, and never even come back to pick up the last paycheck..
They can find another job just like it in the next city, and won't likely be found out for at least a month..
In that amount of time they can do a lot of damage..
Identify "targets", make new "freinds", ( esp. with children ) and ingratiate themselves with families..
Once their debased needs are fulfilled, for the moment, they move on and do it all again..
This lifestyle, if you will, was described in fair detail concerning a case involving the rape and death of a young boy a couple of years ago.. ( Oklahoma? )
It was a bondage rape by two "men" who cared for nothing but their own personal gratification..
Anyway, that's what is going on in Florida, and actually, throughout the nation..
Look for a demand in unskilled labor, especially after a "natural disaster" of some sort, then be prepared to watch your back, and keep your children close..
