"It won't do any good if the State Department (eventually) apologizes or if it rejects this act, or if its authors are tried," they said in a statement obtained by AFP.

"That would amount to throwing dust in the eyes as was the case in the trials of those who committed the crimes (of abusing prisoners at Iraq's) Abu Ghraib jail ... The Islamic nation will not settle for less than the trial (of the Guantanamo culprits) by an Islamic court," said the mostly Salafi signatories. ...

... "All Muslims are required to strive seriously and consistently to expose the intentions of the aggressor through various media and to revive the boycott of US products," said the Saudi scholars, who also demanded the release of the Guantanamo detainees.

Now we know where Dingy Harry Reid spends his weekends.

Sounds just like him, doesn't it?

Memo to saudi morons: we don't recognize sharia. We could use another roll of sharia paper for the bathroom, though.

The scary part is that, with the current climate of Muslim appeasement, they just might get what they want.

The imam of the grand mosque of Makkah, Abderrahman al-Sudais, told the faithful during Friday prayers that the United States should apologize swiftly to prevent a mounting wave of anger from growing any further.

The US has nothing to apologize for.

NewsWeak on the other hand...

Perhaps IsACough could visit the inman and set him straight.

I am of two minds on this---as an American, I say to those "scholars", "Get over it!"

But, as a freeper and a conservative, I want to know where are the non-stop stories about this on Fox, MSNBC, CNN, Nightline, ABCCBSNBC, etc? It is like it never happened?

All of the people in the congress that called for "heads to roll" after ABu Ghraib, (we know they meant Rummy and Bush), night after night, haven't called for Isiskoff's head or "ACCOUNTABILITY", their catch phrase for Get Bush out of Office. Why aren't they asking for all of the editors and reporter of Newsweek to be in front of 3-4 hearings on national TV, so Biden and Levin and Kennedy can yell at them like they are little kids?

Right now, THAT is how I feel---that Newsweek got off way too easy for something that was as real as Rathergate....

In the long run, these Islamofacsists are gonna hate us and want us dead no matter how "nice" we are, or how much we "respect Islam"---so I say that America needs to treat them like we did the Japanese and Germans in WWII---as the enemies wherever they are, and however it takes!!!!

Has anyone informed those muslims that it isn't against the law. Hell, it didn't even happen. What morons they are.

Let's prosecute Americans in an islamic court for something they did not do. That's what it comes down to.

When hell freezes over.

I say we take the Saudi "scholars" and the black towelheads on the Mohammedan "court" and insert copies of the Queeran where the sun don't shine and see what they do then.

Right after a Catholic Inquisition gets to try the Saudi officials who burn Bibles routinely. Who execute Christians for holding worship in their HOMES. Who ban Jews from entering their country ( even those in the US military who protect their sorry Mohammedan asses).

"The scary part is that, with the current climate of Muslim appeasement, they just might get what they want."

Never happen. When the Marines were charged with murder Fox news, and other conservative media, were up in arms and let it be known they would not stand for a kangaroo court to convict these guys. The same would happen in this case.

Besides if Bush gave a thumbs down to a world court trying our soldiers a Muslim court hasn't got a chance.

This is ridiculous. There's no sensible dialogue with Muslims because they're operating from a ninth century mindset. At some point, they'll commit some horrific act, with thousands dead, and we'll have to decide whether to get serious about war. (War is where we kill people and smash things.) War is inherently not PC, so any attempt to wage war with PC rules is preposterous.

If I were Rummy or Bush, I would be tempted to call up Newsweek and make them squirm a bit about the "possibility" that Isikoff's address might be "accidently dislcosed" to the Saudis---LOL
