As usual .. you left out the speaking part - after you believe in your HEART .. CONFESSION (which means speaking) IS MADE UNTO SALVATION.

Without speaking - you don't get salvation by osmossis.

And .. if you're not asking Jesus into your heart - then just who are you asking into your heart ..??

If you can't find that .. then you purposefully don't want to find it. I'm not wrong - and the fact that your only answer is "you're wrong" - proves beyond any shadow of a doubt - you are not a Christian. Because being a Christian means knowing Christ - not who HE is - but knowing HIM.

I'm done - because you have nothing to offer but "you're wrong" - and I don't need to listen to that. I'm entitled to believe what I believe .. whether you approve of it or not. good bye!!

"And .. if you're not asking Jesus into your heart - then just who are you asking into your heart ..?? "

Take a deep breath ... relax ... I'm not attacking Christianity or undermining its basic tenets. Stop responding with childish taunts and verses that don't support your cause:

Romans 10:9-10 KJV
9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

It says, "confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus", or as the NIV puts it, "Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord".

It does not say, "Confess with your mouth that you've asked Jesus (or anyone else) into your heart." You think you see it in there, and you tell me I'm not a Christian if I don't see it, too.

All I'm saying is that the phrase has crept into the Church, and we've accepted it and believe it's "in there somewhere" - when if fact it's not. It's watered-down Christianity.

And you're right, "being a Christian means knowing Christ - not who HE is - but knowing HIM."

But if that's the case, then what does this mean: "... the fact that your only answer is "you're wrong" - proves beyond any shadow of a doubt - you are not a Christian???

I'll assume that's not really your theology, but just a temper tantrum.
