I could never be a Cop. Unless it was like Andy Griffith pouring out beer and extinguishing joints, threatening kids with the deadly force of informing parents.

What policemen did (and do) I rarely question. And although I'm a neophyte on FR, I have yet to see FReeper put down a Cop. I'm stunned you believe that anyone here would criticize your actions or the original post.

I would have shot the man as well as the most aggressive onlookers immediately... especially if there were other officers present. There's no way in hell I'd let them pose a current or possible future threat.

Of course then I'd be condemned by arm chair QB's and thrown in the slammer... like I said - I could never be a Cop.

Thanks for all you have done... will do... and continue to do. I could never fill your shoes.

You are kind. . .and the few on FR that do slam cops for their decisions are here, no doubt about it.

Mostly we are a great crowd and good people. Welcome to FR and stick around. . .if you are like me you will learn a lot. It always amazes the level and type of expertise here on FR. Got a subject, any subject, and someone on FR is a no-kidding expert on the subject. Oh, and while here you will discover FReepers have the best sense of humor. . .absolutely hilarious.
