Explains why "Bad Guys" get all the women, while "Nice Guys lose out." Explains why whe know women lie a lot, but guys can almost never win. Or if we do win, we pay in spades.

As best as I can tell, women seem to want a sensitive bastard. The problem is that bastards can pretend to be sensitive, while sensitive guys have a hard time acting like bastards. It boggles me how I lost women in the past because I was too nice to them, which they construed as weakness.

You just brought clarity to a confused guy, and I thank you for your post. The essay makes great sense.

It was meant mostly for humor. Schopenhauer was a nasty guy, and I don't share his hatred for women, and I hope you don't either. That being said, he did have some insights that were admittedly dead on. I learned a lot from the essay too, and maybe next time I won't be such a fool.
