This was a prepared speech. In which Nooyi said "This land we call home is a most-loving, ever-giving nation -- a "promised land" that we love dearly in return. And it represents a true force that -- if used for good -- can steady the hand, along with global economies and cultures."
The speech was condescending and ham-fisted, but not the anti-American manifesto people are making it out to be. Nooyi specifically pointed out her patriotic love and admiration for our nation.

I don't know if you read her entire address to Columbia. If you didn't please do. Her unpatriotic anti-Americanism is obvious.

She did no such thing, she sugar coated her leftist hatred of the country, as they all do, and hoped tht no one would notice. This is all leftist signaling for "it would be a great country if only it were not so American." You should reread it for you are completely missing the point and the tone. SHe is just another leftist one worlder that thinks America is some sort of buffet that she can gourge herself on.
They should send her packing. It is contemptable behavior and this "apology" is even more contemptable. SHe has no love for this nation whatsoever. She should head back to India.

You can defend her speech all you like, but there was something wrong with it, or she wouldn't be apologizing and saying she made a mistake.
