I know I am supposed to be on vacation, but I can't get away from this stuff.
Evelyn Nieves is a reporter from the WASHINGTON POST who has been covering the David Rosen trial. Covering is a bit of an exaggeration. This is something they are tiptoeing around because it will affect Hillary.
I just spoke with Evelyn, who is based in San Francisco. She has now been given the information that Hillary wanted Gary Smith to do the concert for the Hillary fundraiser, and that she negotiated down the fee to 800K. Yes, Evelyn, Hillary was directly involved. She knew the cost. David Rosen, Aaron Tonken, Gary Smith, and Peter Paul sat around a lunch table at Le Dome and discussed Smith's fee. That night, Hillary called Smith to lower it my 50K.
Evelyn was told about Mike Wallace cancelling his trip to Brazil to do a story on Paul even after two camera crews were in the air and all the arrangements had been made. Wallace knows that Smith talked to Hillary about the cost.
After providing her some interesting info, Evelyn said that she has been getting a lot of calls about this. She asked me, "Are you with some right wing group that is out to get Hillary?" I told her that I vote Republican, I write on FreeRepublic, my son in law is in the military, and, yes, I am a right winger. But it doesn't matter. The facts are the facts.
Evelyn took down my number and is going to talk to her editor. Gee, I wonder what her editor is going to say. I suspect it is not that Evelyn should go write the truth about Hillary. That's not part of the agenda.
Okay, WASHINGTON POST, the ball is in your court and a fire has been lit under your butt. Now what are you going to do?
Hey Doug... whatever happenned to the gal from the NYT you talked to a week or so ago? You still in contact with her?
When the phone don't ring, you'll know it's the Post.
Leslie Eaton is still writing but doesn't seem to have learned much. Stay tuned. More reporters are being given the info and being challenged to do their jobs.
What was their first clue?
Keep up the good work... one of these reporters is bound to figure out that they'll be a star if they write the story that implicates Hillary (if they can get it past their editors).
Her first clue might have been halfway through the conversation when I told her that Hillary was up to her eyeballs in this thing.
Reporters are not very bright.
...and you're a gentleman and a scholar and a fine human being and a great American. Keep up the good work.
VRWC?
Why don't they ask George Soros about puppetmasters...
.
There. That ought to help the Post find you.
Darn, you found me. Thanks to the magic of modern chemicals, my hair has gotten darker. :)
Ditto to Doug
Yep. We know how this will turn out.
Any reporter who disrespects Hillery winds up with his desk moved to the broom closet, his phone cut off after a month of clicks and hisses every time he tries to use it, as lonely as the Maytag man, all his Dim sources dry up, his children can't get into the A list nursery schools, and his dog vanishes.
For Hillary, this episode is going to turn out far different than she expected when she planned the coverup several years ago.
So you're already more famous than her and she has the nerve to ask you those questions????? Heh heh. Some reporter.
...Okay, WASHINGTON POST, the ball is in your court and a fire has been lit under your butt. Now what are you going to do?...
What elephant?
There is no elephant in our living room.
