I feel sorry for those people. Politics is politics, and fantasy is fantasy. People shouldn't let the real world and imagination interfere so often. It's a damn good movie, and I had a blast watching at midnight Wednesday with all my fellow Star Wars nerds. Great fun!
I just finished watching AOTC with some friends who aren't as into the Star Wars story, and we're going to go see ROTS tomorrow, my 3rd time. Hehe.

Just took my 15 year old son to see it and I thought it was utter junk. Politics was next to nothing. I only noticed one statement and that was just as contrived as most of the film. The acting was terrible. It was SO bad, my son even commented on the poor quality. He just loved the fighting scenes. I think that is the one and only appeal of the movie and only to young guys.
