The poll of New York State voters tested four possible Republican challengers to Clinton in her upcoming race for re-election to the U.S. Senate, and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani (search) performs best — coming within 10 percentage points of the incumbent (Clinton 53 percent and Giuliani 43 percent).

If the top performing republican is still 10% behind Hitlery, I don't see New York switching columns next election.

The article had Rudi 10 points behind in the race for the Senate but nearly even in a Presidential election.

The point is that old Hill is in deep crap if a state like NY puts her at dead even where will she be in plkaves like Wisconsin and Nichigan that are only marginally blue.
