"Per Laura Ingraham, Lindsey Graham may be teetering. She recommends South Carolinians get on the phone and start telling him he needs to stick with his party.

HUmmmmmmmm? As a SC resident I have registered my problems with his vote. He will do what he will do but come 2008 he is toast. He probably won't even win the primary. But if he does then as far as I'm concerned his seat will be on the dark side. But as it stands now it won't make a difference.

To: everyone

Call Graham's office even if you don't live in S.C. This affects EVERYBODY equally.

I phoned his Capitol Hill office yesterday and spoke with a courteous young man. I pointed out that he probably agreed with me himself, since I assumed that Graham hired only good Republicans. In the case of Graham, a "more in sorrow than in anger" approach may work best.

Always remember that these aides can be important people -- if not now, then someday. What they hear can also contribute to the mood of the office. It's always, always worthwhile to call.
