Let's not forget about the Lefkow murders and the need to protect our judges

Wednesday, for the first time since her mother and husband were shot to death in her Chicago home, U.S. District Judge Joan Humphrey Lefkow spoke out, testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee, asking for more resources to protect federal judges and responding to recent attacks on our nation's judges

Not on my damn dime. I'd wager judges make a pretty penny and far more income than I do. Take responsibility for your own safety, elected/appointed parasites.

Well, maybe we can give them a loan for the security against their incredibly generous pensions. The problem with judges is, once you give them a perk, you can never take it away.

And while I will give Judge Lefkow a pass on her intemperate remarks on the people's right to complain about bad judges, do to her horrific loss, we must establish checks and balances on the judiciary or more people WILL take the law into their own hands.

Judges are supposed to be public servants, not autocrats with endless perks.

I feel for the loss this woman has suffered. I watched her during the senate judiciary hearing and she seemed sincere. 3 judges since the 70s have been killed. That hardly calls for round the clock security details paid for by the taxpayer. My advice is she gets a carry concealed permit, buy a handgun and defend herself like the rest of us who aren't judges have to do.

Let's not forget the woman is in the early stages of the grieving process and has proposed what No COurt would allow
(action/protection without verificaiton of any harm done)
And what the US Constitution does not allow-- Infringement upon freedom of speech,and of the press etc.
