No joke. Guiliani didn't come up with the idea, but at least he had the sense to implement it.

I never questioned whose "idea" it was. I just think it takes a lot of work and political skill and determination to carry out the idea on the scale Giuliani did. And Wilson may have been the first to publish the idea, but lots of neighborhoods (and homes) have operated on the principle for years before that -- it's not exactly counterintuitive.

Check the cemeteries. St. Ignatius Loyola and all of the older Jesuits (when they were still loyally Catholic) must be rolling over in their graves.

There appears to be a pattern. First, Fr. Reese was removed from America magazine. Now it looks like they are cracking down on the colleges. This is the MOST discipline applied to the liberal Jesuits in QUITE a long time.

Maybe Benedict could appoint Fr. Fessio as the next Archbishop/Cardinal to replace Keeler.
