You understand that this article is about the Empire in kids' movies, right? And that we don't actually know jack about what the rebels were rebelling for, or the state of the Republic, other than the minimal exposure given in Lucas' MOVIES (see, there's that word again, MOVIES). If there were an evil admiral-choking, country-destroying monster out there, I don't think that joking here about how great the fictitious Galactic Empire was would twist anyone's perspective on that.

But you two can act all sanctimonious and as if Star Wars is real if you want. You've got plenty of company, after all. I promise we'll try not to judge you on the basis of the company you keep.
