Well, we have one in our laundry room. I've named him Marwan (from 24 - if you're a fan) because the domestic partner has been trying to catch him in a humane trap for 2 months.

He lures him so far, but Marwan won't go in far enough to snap the trap.

I've never seen him, but I'm sure he's cute, in a ratty way, I just don't want to live with him.

Rats are supposed to be extremely smart. Go figure! I think rodents in general are. My squirrel friends certainly are smart, and so are the local chipmunks!

Lol. We used to have a flying squirrel in our attic. We got a trap but just ended up feeding him because the darned thing learned how to get the food without setting off the trap. Then when we finally did get him, we set him free in a park several miles away and he came back.
