You should be ashamed, propagating something like that. George Washington didn't say it. It was taken from the verbiage of the Treaty of Tripoli. Interesting history considering the similiaritites with the problems faced then when compared to the problems with Muhammedans now. Politicians have changed little in 200 years.

You're correct..

Taking quotes OUT OF CONTEXT as he did is often misleading.

That Treaty was meant to Placate Muslims and stop the Barbary Pirates (Earlier Jihadis) by trying to make light of religous differences.
