Other threads have said that the free Korans are the sanitized version.
They say things like "Discuss with them your differences" instead of the more traditional "Kill them".

I'm not surprised, I've heard from numerious places, and people that their are edited versions of the quran, edited and unedited.

Most of the time, the edited version is considered a more modern translation.

But no idiot, ever uses it, and no muslim does either.

One would certainly hope that they're sanitary. I can't think of a worse place to get an infection than around ones koranus.

That is exactly right. In the mosques they use the original Arabic version. As a matter of fact there are millions of Moslems around the world who don't speak Arabic who have never seen or heard a translation of it!

There are several cleaned up translations for the consumption of Infidels. You can bet this translation bears little or no resemblance to the Arabic version they worship by.

Additionally, the Arabic version is virtually untranslatable since it has no punctuation or diacritical marks. It is basically an incomprehensible string of syllables that could have many meanings.

The Haddiths or Traditions are the meat of Islam. This is where the Osamas and Khomeinis of the world get their instructions.
