I believe she has her generations mixed up. She is really talking about the generation before the Boomers which included James Dean, Elvis and John Kerry. I think it is called something like the Forgotten Generation. They were the original rebellious teenagers.

BUT I know many, many boomers who seemed to have been born thinking that someone else owed them an existence. Used to drive me crazy, and as a result I never felt I had much in common with my own age group.

Here's a thought, let's just figure out a way to fix the problem so one generation of Americans aren't eating dog food simply because there was a lot of sex going on in the 40's and 50's. Hello? Sniping and insulting one another is juvenile. "WAAAAHHH I have to pay for my dad's health care!! WAAAHHHH, they invented LSD!!! WHHINNNNEE!!! Their generation is selfish!!! BOOO HOOO we did more as a generation than anyone else!! Sob! They were hippies! Shriek!!! The X'ers are lazy snobs!! WWAAAAAHHHHHH!!!".

Gawd. Grow up. This is Baby stuff. Stoopid. Unproductive. And after it's all said and done, the problem will still exist.

sheesh. Work to find a solution, don't add to the problem.

The boomers are going to start paying for their irresponsibility...or we'll kill them.

The Boomers who paid their dues were the subset who fought in SE Asia. As for the rest of them, well ....

Look at it this way: the money you've been saving on dentistry - because we gave you flouride in your drinking water - is the equivalent of the tax rise you'll need to come up with on our behalf.

This is a joke, right? I've ALREADY had to come up with considerably more for the boomers than the cost of braces, bridges, gold teeth, and whatever else I may have supposedly been spared in dental costs, thanks to the "flouridation" (sic) of our drinking water.

Pompous, self-important, self-delusional... Yup, that's a Boomer alright.

I know this sounds cold, but the Baby Boomer generation is the best argument for ending Social Security tomorrow.

never has a generation got more from a country than the boomer left,

and destroyed the hand that fed them.

I'll wait to hear what Shecky Green has to say about this before I form an opinion.
