helicopter down in Harris county
FNC ^ | 1/18/05 | me

Posted on 05/18/2005 7:37:18 AM PDT by eastforker

Possibly two dead, this is owned by a geophysical company doing seismic work in the area, it has been flying around my house for the last three weeks. From the looks of the pics it looks like it went down at their yard.

Hi, eastforker...awful when choppers go down. Not much leeway on protection. What is your link? I'm getting something other than what you described.

Why does your link go to a site with no info on your post but a site that has nothing but links?
Do you get money for sending people to this site?

They had a news flash on FNC and showed some footage and I recognized the area.

Will Newsweak and CBS add it to the Iraq totals?

Are you on the NW side of town? We've had helicopters around here for the past few weeks and have been wondering what is going on.

I'm just glad you're OK.

Any confirmation on the fatalities or any other injuries?

It would be really nice when people post local news, they would mention the name of the STATE.

I assume this is in Texas, but it would be quite easy to
post a 2 letter state ID to such post.

How's the weather out there...windy or anything like whirlwinds?

(Love the tagline!)

Nice calm and balmy day. They have been doing countless landings and take offs. They use the chopper to deliver seismic equipment to remote areas that don't have vehicle access or a right of way easment.

"...countless landings and take offs..."

Guess they'll be checking maintenance records pretty quickly if the same chopper has been used over & over. Hope everyone makes it a-okay.
