I don't agree. Party loyalty is why you have parties to begin with. If Spector wants to go Independent, let him run for office that way. If he got Republican votes, he should support his party, or get the @#$% out.

Who says he's not going to support his party? As some others have pointed out, I don't hear him saying he won't.
Look, we all need to take a chill pill. As much as we'd like this thing to be resolved five minutes from now, it's not going to be resolved five minutes from now. There is not going to be a mushroom cloud over the Capitol five minutes from now. This may very well not be decided before the middle of next week, and IMHO there ain't a whole lot we can do about it except blow off steam in settings like this.
