I went one further than that; I told him that I wouldn't vote for ANYBODY who has stabbed Bush in the back -- regardless.

As I said, I believe the vast majority of us are Bush Republicans and they need to be worried about what WE think if they want to get our votes.

My list is very, very short.

Damn straight. A Republican can disagree with the President but under NO cicumstances will I tolerate betrayal.

ANY Republican that thinks he will win high office by stabbing the knife in the President's back is going to be educated when they lose in stunning defeat. Hear that Mccain? hear that Hagel and Chafee?

This president has won my Respect. I don't agree with everything but I will NEVER tolerate abuse toward him to curry favor with the MSM.

I'm with you, Howlin. I don't "misunderestimate" the President's role in, among other things, the historical gains in the Senate. Some seem to believe that the money and grassroots organization that had many like me out walking neighborhoods, manning phone banks, making contributions, etc. will survive their disloyalty. It won't.
