Thanks, nw_arizona_granny!

This is a bit of an odd one, if you ask me.

If that base is closed, it will have more smuggler planes landing on it.

In the 1970's we lived in the desert out of Wellton, in Yuma
County, Arizona.

Late one night, as i finished decorating for Christmas, I hung a wreath in the window and plugged the electric pixie lights in, and the room lights off.

The lights were the kind that blink on and off........

All of a sudden, an airplane almost landed on our mobile.

I woke Bill up, but he wasn't interested in any thing but sleep, so the dog and I went out and did what Bill suggested, go out and see if you can find a plane that has
crashed........LOL

We didn't find it, but the old timer who came to visit, said to go here and there, as the smugglers still used the old
WW2 dirt landing strips that were on the bombing range.

We found 2 of the landing strips and proof that the smugglers were still using them.

Turned out that neither the local police or the Feds that
they told about it, knew about the landing fields either.

For weeks, we were making fast trips into the bombing range to show the law enforcement people what we had found.

They also liked the road that was well maintained, that we
found going over the top of a mountain range. We could drive it from Mexico to the High Tanks Roadway that went to
our property.

High Tanks Road was the old El Diablo alternate route, that was used by the wagon trains to the gold fields of California.

You will find lots of dope and illegal people on the bombing ranges and closed areas.
