The owner of two Kentucky theaters has refused to show the new Jane Fonda film "Monster-in-Law" because of the activist role the actress took during the Vietnam War.He sounds like a great man. Any one who lives in the area should reward him by frequenting his theaters often.
To: Crackingham
Just two theaters?
OK, it's a start.

I believe that is a form of "Free Speech" and Ike should be appluaded.
I will express myself by trying to outlive the bitch and then water her flowers as often as possible, no matter how long the line is.

Me like Ike, too! Good idea, more theaters should do this. I won't hold my breath, though.

All of the enemy from within should be banned from our shores.

Not often we find someone more in tune to principles than the buck. I'll bet there would be people who would pay to sit in front of a blank screen in his theatre rather than watch Hanoi Jane. I would.

We will probably have to stand in a "long" line of other vets.
Does "yellow water" really kill flowers? LOL

"Monster-in-Law"Good to see they're finally calling her what she is.

Call and say "thank you". Or, if you are in the area, stop by and putchase a ticket and some Jordan Almonds. You know the left is going to howl "censorship" so show them not everyone agrees with the left.

Good for him! I hear it's a bad movie, anyway.

I don't think "Banned" is the proper word her: Ban implies an action by a governmental body. A more accurate headline would probably be "Kentucky Theater Owner Refuses to Show Latest Jane Fonda Film".

"Jane Fonda Film Banned From Kentucky Theaters" Only a government agency or quasi-government agency can ban. Schools can ban the Bible, libraries can ban books, state legislatures can ban freedom of speech.
Free citizens can exercise their freedoms to not partake. This is what the theater owner has done. He has not banned a darned thing. Moviegoers can drive to the next county to see Jane Fonda.
But would the MSM understand this nuance? Nooooo. They don't teach such things at the Columbia School of Journalism.
I really, really, really hate the media.

Fonda has apologized for being photographed on a North Vietnamese anti-aircraft gun, but not for opposing the war.
***
She didn't apologize...she regretted her actions, like a thief regrets when he's caught.
Another media lie.
Bravo to Ike!
