(are rabble rousers afraid Christianity is superior?)
The answer to the question is YES! and it is.
Ahem. The people who killed and rioted caused the murder and mayhem.
Newsweek just published a story. True or not, it's just words on a page.
What you're saying is the same as liberals trying to blame murders on the gun instead of the shooter.
Absolutely. The Christophobes are terrified that a real God will prove they are nothing but little false gods.
That is liberal guilt. Not quite the same thing.
It is okay to make a Christian cry. They are "meanies".
If someone yells fire in a crowded theater, the real culprit is the guy who shoves people out of his way to escape, right?
John Kerry lied before Congress when he described "war crimes" he observed in Vietnam. Those lies emboldened the enemy. That is treason.
This is no different. Newsweek knew that it served to destabilize the area. The only question is whether they knew it was untrue or even cared.
Maybe my memory is off, but I thought Newsweek did run the story by the Army and got no comments.
Exactly! What was the purpose? If the goal wasn't to incite unrest and anti-American sentiment than what was it?
The exagerated rage diplayed by the Muslims, because of the alleged Koran abuse, is merely an excuse for them to show their ingrained hatred towards the West.
Wake up America, Muslims prefer to live among their murderous ilk instead of generous infidels. And that is not only in Afghanistan and Pakistan but also in Iraq.
A urinal?
You can find an on line searcheable copy of the koran here,
If you just want to see what's in it, the on line version should satisfy your curiosity.
If you want it for artistic, or private personal uses, just print off the pages necessary.
Bad analogy. Below is one that's more apt.
Someone yells fire in a theatre. Someone else in that theater kills a third movie-goer because he didn't like what the original shouter said.
So, do we blame the murder on the original shouter or the guy who killed the innocent?
John Kerry lied before Congress when he described "war crimes" he observed in Vietnam. Those lies emboldened the enemy. That is treason.
But this isn't the enemy. Bush says these are our friends, fellow lovers of freedom, newly minted-supporters of democracy. Well, as long as we don't criticize them or their religion, right?
This is no different. Newsweek knew that it served to destabilize the area. The only question is whether they knew it was untrue or even cared.
So, are the murderers and rioters absolved of all responsiblity for their actions because Newsweek published a lie? It sounds like you think they should not be held responsible for their actions.
Do you believe the rioters to be arguing among one another or stampeding through the streets?
I have not heard that the dead and injured wound up in that state for agreeing with the concept of putting the koran in the toilet.
Where did you get this news? Newsweak?
A woman from the LA Times tried to ignite a riot during the Elian Gonzales protests in Miami. She threw rocks at police trying to antagonize the crowd into following suit.
They did not. She was arrested and charged (yet continued working at the LAT). Any doubt what side of the argument she stood politically?
It would have done wonders for smearing the protestors though ("Anti-Castro protestors turn violent!").
Uh-huh. Let me know when they open up the Green zone to ordinary Iraqis.
"Isn't it interesting that the Koran in the toilet (which didn't happen, apparently) constitutes desecration and a crucifix in a bottle of urine gets a government grant? Does that seem strange to anyone else?"
I would expect rioters to be stampeding through the streets. That's why they're called "rioters".
But why were they rioting? Did someone kill their children? Did someone destroy their homes? Did someone assassinate their beloved leader?
Nope. Newsweek published a story that said that a copy of the Koran was flushed down a toilet. And for this offense, peace-loving muslims kill people and riot. Real civilized bunch you've got there.
I have not heard that the dead and injured wound up in that state for agreeing with the concept of putting the koran in the toilet.
So who's to blame for the killing? Newsweek or the murderers?
Where did you get this news? Newsweak?
Huh? Come again?
