Thanks for the ping.

Truly sad news. But The fact that she was surrounded by her wonderful family is a blessing. Minus the greedy evil black sheep.

Ill gotten, ill gain. Miss Grannygirl will never have peace and less when the money runs out. While dear Grandma Mae has suffered her last, Miss Grannygirl's is just beginning.

I never had the privilege of knowing my grandmothers - she did but wanted money instead. What a piece of ....!

Stroke is a result of the aortic dissection.

http://www.emedicine.com/radio/topic43.htm

"Occlusion of aortic branch vessels from aortic dissection may result in stroke, renal failure, mesenteric ischemia, lower extremity ischemia, and paraplegia (caused by obstruction of the spinal artery)."

FYI. Looks like Mae was as terminal as her La Grange physician stated.

regardless, she died naturally this way instead of being starved to death. "Waiting" for that "prophecied" stroke would have saved everyone, including our society, a lot of pain.

I tried to post some common sense when all of this began....some will probabley remember me. Anyway, I am not a family member, but a resident of LaGrange and an family friend. Ms. Gaddy and her familydid not jump to post like Mr. Mullinax did, but here is the proof Mr. Mullinax had his motives to save Mae...please read statement produced by Ms. Gaddy's Family.

I would just like to say that I am a member of Beth Gaddy's family. For those of you who have posted these articles about her on this website, it would have helped if you had the WHOLE stry and truth about this situation! For example, I noticed that Ken Mullinax FAILED to tell you all that his mother (Mae Magourik's sister) shared ownership in some rental properties with Mae and that he and his mother had not been sending Mae her share of the money made off these properties for a long time! Poor Mae and called and asked for her share of the money and they never would send it! It is many peoples' opinion that Ken and his mother wanted Mae kept alive for the very reason that they knew if she died, they would have to buy out her share of these properties, and they didn't want to have to shell out the money!!! I would also like to say that for someone who cared SO much about his Aunt, Ken did not come to the funeral today. Ken and his mother had been stealing money from Mae for a very long time and it is my opinion that ANYTHING he has to say about Beth Gaddy should be researched VERY well before it is posted, considering that he is a THIEF!!! Maybe you "reporters" should have done a lot more research before opening your big mouths. I think you should have gotten the WHOLE story! One more thing, I also noticed that it was not posted that when Mae was brought to the nursing home where she spent her final days, SHE pulled her feeding tube out herself and said that it was NOT to be put back in! So, what do you all have to say to that???

They felt no need to try to rally up alot of people when this should have been a family matter in the first place. I am not here to say you have to believe me or any of my previous post, but please try to see both sides of this story. Ms. Mae was terminally ill. She had requested not to be put in a nursing home and was put in hospice because it has the medical personel on hand and it is much nicer than a nursing home. Contrary to what Mr. Mullinax has posted, Ms. Mae had refused food. Ms. Gaddy could only get her to eat a little JELLO a little at a time. This situation was no where near comprable to Terri S. Beth Gaddy is a good hearted person who was turned into a monster by lemons of Mr. Mullinax. He and his family will be exposed for who they are and hopefully THEY WILL GET WHAT THEY DESERVE, TOTAL HUMILIATION. Ms. Gaddy had no further motive other than providing the best care possible. And BTW...Mr. Mullinax, I hope that since this has been brought to light, that this is taken to court and I hope that they can sue you for slander. If you are such a nice person you would have never put the family through such hell by posting all of their personal info, just for any nut case to get a hold of, I guess that just shows how bright of a person you are, not realizing the dangers of the world today.

FYI Mae's sister has had the same condition for a considerably longer time and she's still alive and living at home. Of course she wasn't starved, dehydrated and drugged for two weeks. Your "terminal" prognosis is nothing more than the flatus of rotten hyperbole.

I remember you. I asked you to back up an absurd statement you made. You never did. I came back and asked again. You still didn't. Want to give it another try?

Thirdly Mr. Mullinex....you know Ms. Mae has money, not much, but you see dollar signs, don't try to justify this any other way.

How does Ken Mullinax get ahold of her money by trying to keep her alive?

Duh. Mae's sister has a less sever case, is seven years younger and was not diagnosed as being terminal by her physician. Mae's sister is a candidate for surgery if necessary. The doctors in Alabama said Mae was not a candidate for surgery because of her failing health. It's clear that the two cases differ vastly. The hyperbole in this case emits from the jaws of Mullinax and from all those who bought into his bull.

How alive is she? Mullinax knew, just like everybody else should have, that Mae was diagnosed terminal (less than 6 mos. to live). His efforts to gain control of her affairs just prior to death are obvious. Mae died before he could completely hatch his plan.

"Now a panel of three medical specialists, commissioned by a Troup County probate judge, has ruled that the woman's heart ailment is treatable."

But of course you know better than they do.

Mae's sister ... was not diagnosed as being terminal by her physician.

Show me a source for the claim that Mae Magourik's physician diagnosed her condition as terminal.

That is a requirement prior to being admitted to a hospice in Georgia.

Gotta love all of the 'more intellectual than thou' posters who brush off two weeks of starvation, dehydration and heavy drugging as having any effect on someone with an aortic dissection. Nope, stress wouldn't have any effect on that, no sirree. /sarcasm

Oh, that's right, starvation/dehydration/drugging isn't a stressor it's a blissful experience.
