But there is no media bias, and Newsweek was set up.
At least they are removing their masks.

I was just reading about this. I didn't see the press conference but if it happened like this...I wish the WH would get rough and tough with the press. I remember Clinton shaking his finger at them and he had a way of putting them in their place. They don't show respect for the office so why should the WH respect the press.

The Imams in Afghanistan threatened yet another holy war if the U.S. didn't turn over the offending parties in the Qu`ran incident. Since the whole thing has been proven false, I think we ought to send them the writing staff and editors of Newsweak instead.

Freedom of the press includes a responsibility to present information accurately and honestly. Otherwise they are no better than the tabloids. And freedom of the press doesn't protect the tabloids from libel suits if they publish false stories that damage someone's reputation or career.

So the WH Press thinks the White house is supposed to investigate Newsweak's botched stories, hoping to salvage their reputation? Hahahahahaha! They've got to be kidding.

The press will defend it's right to print whatever lies it sees fit. First amendment and all, you know.
There was a time when the press was supposed to unmask the lies of government. Now it's the job of the internet to unmask the lies of the press.

The media cannot tolerate any criticism of their own. Wonder why they should be above the standards they set for everybody else.
17 people were killed as a direct consequence of this fiction; the left-wing media should be held accountable for their abuse of their 1st Amendment rights. Enough is enough!!

How nice -- "...our military goes out of their way to handle the Koran with care and respect. There are policies and practices that are in place."
And what policies do we have in place here at home for our sacred religious icons? Athesists petition to take "God" out of the Pledge. Judges remove the Ten Commandments from our courthouses. "Artists" on the public dole put crucifixes in urine.
And now we bend over backward begging forgiveness from a religion that spreads hate and violence. My God, is our world turned upside down or what?

Wonder if that dirty arab, Fareed Zakaria, had anything to do with this story. He is the managing editor(?) of that tabloid and a known muslim apologist. Wonder if he pushed this story for ideological jihadi reasons.

Scott Mc Celllan has more class and patience with them [alleged reporters, I call them professional pathological liars] than I have.
I would have told them to go to hell and go fornicate with themselves.

Q As far as the Newsweek article is concerned, first, how and where the story came from? And do you think somebody can investigate if it really happened at the base, and who told Newsweek?Gee, Elizabeth. Maybe these questions can be answered by Michael Isikoff. Would you like the phone number to Newsweek?
To: Brian Mosely
I can't wait for this questioner to be identified!
