"...our military goes out of their way to handle the Koran with care and respect." If any book deserves care and respect, it's the one that calls for the annihilation of every non-Mohammedan on the planet.
I can't believe we have to placate these devil-worshipping savages with this mealymouthed horsesh*t. How embarassing for this country.

"The MSM has one mission, and that is to destroy President Bush at any, and all, costs." Actually I think their agenda, even if some of them don't know it, is to destory this country as we know it (and it's getting harder to recognize it each passing day).
If they aren't commies, they're their useful idiots.

In times of war, trust no one. You'd think the mSM would figure that out someday.
Too bad the media didn't see themselves as mere mortals instead of demigods and above reproach.

Liberal journalist defend liberal journalist.
If a Republican politican had screwed up, you better believe the liberal press wouldn't be making excuses for them.

the great Rocky Mtn. west!! (where we also have some NYT-loving jackals, but not in the same proportions) The loopy leftist moonbat base of Denver brandishes the biggest federal presence outside of DC to try to clamp down on the western USA, for our own good.

It's interesting that in that link about Elizabeth of the NYT that it was the EDITORS, not Elizabeth, who added that sentence about her article being based on another reporter's report. So what she presented so "vividly" was 2nd hand "news".

Let's not forget Watergate. Ever since WG, they have been trying to recreate it with each and every Republican president.

McLellan . . . not effective.
I've only seen him in action a few times, but I agree. Bush could do a lot better. The job requires someone who can think on his feet and will call a spade a spade, and McLellan just doesn't have it.
To: Paul Atreides
You are exactly right--the covert enemy within is much more difficult to discern than the overt enemy easily recognized. In the case of the leftist reporters, you never know which side they are on and that is exactly what they want--the enemy within will never admit the truth that they are indeed our enemy.

"Are you asking them to write a story about how great the American military is; is that what you're saying here?"
Wow, if that's an accurate quote, she really let her guard down. Reporters normally at least try to PRETEND to be patriotic. Her contempt for the military was palpable.

Liberal skank Elisabeth Bumiller of the NY Times. That's "left-wing radical Socialist skank" to you, mister.

The press just doesn't get it. They (the press) have greatly angered the U.S. military. The Pentagon spokesman,
who is paid to keep a level head, was publically cussing out Newsweek. Since the spokesman is this angry, I don't want to know how angry the military brass is behind the scenes.
Afghanistan's government said Tuesday that NEWSWEEK should be held responsible for damages caused by deadly anti-American demonstrations after the magazine alleged U.S. desecration of the Quran.
Good, maybe if the press continues to makes enemies of those who seek freedom, we may start seeing some of the anti-american press sent to prison.
To: Paul Atreides
Amen to that. We are being destroyed from within!

Absolutely true; for the press, that was the Golden Age, to bring down a Republican president, and the much-hated Nixon, no less. They truly have been trying to recapture that moment ever since.
To: quark
I guess she and the rest of the so-called reporters don't know how much they are truly despised! They are lost in their ivory tower world where everyone thinks the same. They only try to win points with other "reporters" and couldn't care less about the truth.

McClellan is not tough at all. Why can't they just once stand up for themselves. That Elizabeth chick hates the military and he should have put her in her place when she asked if they should do an article on how great the American military is.
