Every summer, we'd make bazookas from (steel) pop cans, with tennis balls for projectiles.
(We placed the end on the ground, firing vertically, not horizontally.)
The best outcome from a permissive search is likely to be a torn up car. If they want to look bad enough, let them find a judge and get a warrant.
I would imagine that the guys being investigated here were also scoped out in general. For example, affiliation with groups promoting violent overthrow, etc.
It would be nice to think that, but reading the story carefully shows that they are talking about ONE guy, who got stopped in his car and stupidly submitted to a "fishing expedition" type of search. Because the local Sheriff's deputies found a "fuse" (probably for mildly illegal, in some states, FIRECRACKERS) and what sounds like a really "dangerous" PLASTIC SPICE jar "home-made bomb", they called in the BATFEces agents (of WACO infamy).
Also, in the story, there was no mention of this one guy being suspected of being a member of an anti-government group, or any other group (other than the fact that he is a veteran), and there was also no mention of an in-depth investigation that led up to this man's arrest.
It sounds like overzealous deputies and overbearing feds trying to add another statistic to their arrest records. In the feds case, they need these to help justify their existence. And, these are the best kind of arrests for poorly trained BATFAG agents. They get most of the credit, without any of the danger.
You mean, like an FR poster?
BANGLIST-intensive ping
Wow....albeit I had more terrorist like tools an mannerisms at age 10 that this guy does. I had buckets of M80's, my grandfathers old thompson sub gun that was missing some piece or part that made it my favorite toy. Knives and BB guns etc and woe be the ant hill I found to experiment on with my childhood version of a moltov cocktail er two...........Sure glad they finally made all this stuff illegal or I'd have never grown up.
Stya safe !
Not enough info in this report to make any conclusions.
No, I mean, like groups who honestly believe that government leaders and CEOs sit in seances conjuring Illuminatist spirits or groups who state that they are forging ties with Al Qaida.
They are "allowed" to go after narco terrorists, murderers, rapists, etc, but its so much easier and safer to go after peaceable citizens, who are less likely to shoot back, or to shoot you when you shoot their dog, stomp their cats, and rough up their wives causing them to abort.
True enough. But there is factor of the known behavior patterns of the BATFErs.
Also true!
And you think the average BATFag can tell the difference?
