The DEMONICrats are in a bind. A Republican will not pay a price for voting for a rule change. A demonrat from a state such as Nevada (a la Harry Reid) could pay the same price as Daschle did for his obstructions. The same can be said of any Demon Rat that is from a Red State. They have much more to lose than the Republicans when they vote against the rule change.

McCain needs help. I do not understand that man! I wonder if he will be doddering about the Senate in 25 years in an imitation of Sen Byrd.

I bet it is the other way around. Nelson can't find 5 DINOs. The rats are all rat today. They have purged men like Zell Miller from their ranks. The only thing they can do is obstruct. It is in the best interest of DINOs and rats to comprimise because they will be defeated otherwise, but the rats can't go back to their voters and explain a compromise. Sweet.
