'Nother pure Barbara Streisand anti-gun measure. Its laughable since putting ID on bullets won't help in identifying a criminal. Like criminals would be so stupid as to use bullets that can be traced back to them. DUH. All this bill will do is increase the costs of making gun ammunition without denting crime one iota. Talk about another symbolic "feel good" gesture. Back to ID? There are lots of ways ID can be circumvented or defeated. Just don't expect Joe Dunn and California liberals to acknowledge the obvious.

The only effect this will have is to increase the number of homicides committed with shotguns (sawed off or any other variety).
What's next--serialize shot (00 buckshot down to #7½ or #8 shot)??

Reloading or purchasing over the internet will not cirumvent this law. The bill, AB357, will make it illegal for anyone to possess ammunition outside of their home that is not serialized, after Jan. 1, 2007. So you can have it in your house, but you can't take it to the range with you or use it for hunting. I have no doubt that it will pass the state Senate. The Assembly is cooking up it's own bill to require the inner workings of a handguns to stamp a "microscopic array of numbers" on a primer or case when it is fired.

I bet two thirds of the murders were done by gang members too....like in Los Angeles County.

Joe Dung AGAIN?
Does this man have anything better to do? Like his stupid idea for reparations wasn't enough.

Under their stupid law, possession of unmarked bullets is a felony. Shipping them into PRK is also a felony.

The good thing about the "shipping into CA is a felony" thing, is that the Feds regulate interstate commerce - therefore CA can suck wind.

Nope. If a person causes importation then they have violated the state's law. The state can extradite the person from where ever they are for prosecution in PRK courts.
