Reloading or purchasing over the internet will not cirumvent this law. The bill, AB357, will make it illegal for anyone to possess ammunition outside of their home that is not serialized, after Jan. 1, 2007. So you can have it in your house, but you can't take it to the range with you or use it for hunting. I have no doubt that it will pass the state Senate. The Assembly is cooking up it's own bill to require the inner workings of a handguns to stamp a "microscopic array of numbers" on a primer or case when it is fired.
