Living in the woods, AND, being isolated and insulated from any SERVICE that government can and will offer you. That is truly tough to accomplish, because fire, and woods kinda go together, and as one gets older, doctors and hospitals can be needed, not to mention that social security check.
I know what you mean though. Even living in the woods they still find you with that 911 address that has become so popular, you know the one that pinpoints your location so "they" can find you physically, when "they" need too.
In the olden days it was possible to escape, but I don't think there are any places of refuge left. government, whether, ours or third world, has become so large and intrusive as to pretty much eliminate the word safe haven from the lexicon.
