I wrote this originally on another thread, mostly as a joke. However, when I reread it, I actually felt inspired.

I think I will repost this from time to time when morale -- especially mine -- is flagging on Free Republic.

Credit for the original speech goes to the finest fighting man America has ever produced: General George "Blood and Guts" Patton.

In all seriousness, and just for the record...

We've done this before.
We're qualified.

"....the finest fighting man America has ever produced: General George "Blood and Guts" Patton."

While some of us Marines may disagree with the preceeding statement, I wholeheartedly agree with the "Call to Arms!"

I responded to your earlier thread only to find that the mods had removed it!!!!! I thought it was great. A super tribute to our hero George Patton. Anyway, glad your rant came around again so I could say "way to go" Laz, you're on target. (I don't post much, but have enjoyed your comments for years.)

Your morale is flagging? Why, when we live in such a liberal target rich environment?

Very clever!

Now, if we could just send this morale boost to the pubbies in the congress.... They need to be reminded why they were elected in the first place- it wasn't so they could cave in under democrat pressure and underhanded tactics.

The democrats are never going to stop. They don't want to "get along" and they don't want "compromise". They know what this is about-power. Repubs need to grow a spinal cord and be eternally vigilant to dem threats and various propaganda/mis-information campaigns, if they want to stay in power.

The future of the Nation is at stake. The ideologies of the two parties couldn't be more opposite. The Republicans need to keep reminding people of what they stand for/make their case to the people, and we need to do our part.

Excellent post BUMP
