Forbidden Planet

My favorite cheapo 50s sci-fi movie was "Target Earth," which is kind of a rip-off of "War of the Worlds." It has wonderfully banal dialogue, such as:

Woman: "I wonder what they'll do next?"

Man: "I wish I knew."

And in a city that has been evacuated to save the public from some unknown threat, the [left behind in the city because he had been mugged and knocked out the night before] hero's first decision is to head for the center of the city rather than to get out of the city. lol

The cheapo 50s sci-fi flicks are great.

I saw Planet of the Vampires a year or so ago. Definitely another creepy sci-fi flick. Though I don't remember it looking too "cheapo." It was pretty good in a way.
