I'm puzzled why the big deal and rioting over this particular report; there've been news reports alleging Quran desecration for quite some time - long before the Newsweek debacle.

Yeah, I hear you. It's been in foreign papes for a year or so.

I knew about this stuff wayyyyy before Newsweak, but I wouldn't incite a riot over it....

How is one offended by something that never actually happened?

I'm really not sure why this particular mention would spark riots where others have not. Something doesn't feel quite right here, given the speed it moved. It's almost as though they were waiting for a signal to riot. But I'm probably reading too much into it.

This actually reminds me a little of the Rodney King Riots.

At any rate, while Newsweek isn't solely to blame (the people that spilled blood have to take responsibility for murder), Newsweek does have blood on its hands. This wasn't a mistake. They, just as the rest, have tried to defeat America from the start of this war. They have hyped any allegations that could hurt America and this Administration. They knew exactly what they were doing. If they were too stupid to realize people could die because of their political games in print, that is no excuse. People are dead.

I think those that murdered innocents should be hung, but I wouldn't be adverse to sending Isikoff and those directly involved in this story over to the M.E. to be held to account.
