Anyone who has ever stayed at a motel knows that those Gideon Bibles are "desecrated" all the time. It is a bloody book.
Worshiping an object (a book) like these Muslims do borders on idolatry.

I'm with you...while I wouldn't like it if someone desecrated the bible I wouldn't kill people over it. I would expect they would have to answer to God for that. As long as I show respect for my bible then it's not my problem.
But then again this story was created to cause a riot in the muslim world, cause we all know how peaceful they are. Therefore those who intentionally did this have as much blood on their hands as the muslim rioters.
