Newsweak's response: "Put some ink on it!"
Many believe that that whatever the truth may be, the harm has been done. It's not the truth or falsehood that matters, but the seriousness of the accusation!
Fake, but accurate?
By the way, what's so bad about flushing Korans down the toilet anyway?
I understand that it can cause unnecessary plumbing problems.. but I mean, other than that...
Whoa. Too little - too late. I like this... :)
"too little too late"?
How cliche'
How about, "boo freaking hoo", or "cry me a river", or my favorite, "tell sombody who cares"
Sadly, at this point, it seems the only thing left to do is send Newsweek Editor Mark Whitaker to Kabul. "Do with him as you like, abdul."

(If what I just wrote makes you sad or angry,
"The Koran's desecration is a great crime and should be dealt with at once..."
Absolutely, arrest Issakopf.
Islam is a radical religion. There is definitely something wrong with people who get upset over their book being flushed down a toilet( even if it didn't happen). They can call it sacred if they want to but they are not going to force me to treat it like they want it treated. They don't hold the same respect for the Bible so why do they think we who are not Muslims should show respect for their book.
We need a strong grassroots effort to pound these people on their treatment of their Christians.
Muslim's are certainly charmers.
Fake, but accurate?

Remember, the liberal left creates its own REALITY. What the leftist media does is create that "reality" on its own pages...even though it is a f-ing lie. And this time thier perversion of reality HAS COST LIVES! How far will these crazy morons go to REWRITE REALITY to suit their agenda??
Boycott News-Weak!
"One moderate cleric said, "the U.S. keeps on handing out reasons for extremists to become more ferocious. These stories are amazing recruiting tools and more young people will now join the fight.""
He doesn't sound very moderate if he considers lies to be valid reasons for extremists to become more violent.
Should read, "the anti-American US MSM, etc..."
"It's not the truth or falsehood that matters, but the seriousness of the accusation!"
Dan has to be smiling. It's unbelievable to me that there are many in the world that take that statement as valid logic.
Either the world is crazy, or I am. Either way, I'm very uncomfortable.
Pardon me while I wipe my butt with page 367 of the evil Koran then.
Since muslims traditionally use their left hand to clean themselves after using the toilet, without the benefit of toilet paper, do they consider it to be desecration to then touch the koran with that same hand?
Screw the moslems. They will believe whatever they want to, anyway. But Newsweek definitely owes an apology to the American military and the American people. We are the ones who will have been harmed by their malfeasance.
I was hoping that it was "too little, too late" for the magazine, but it isn't.
Even a "moderate" cleric says, "the U.S. keeps on handing out reasons for extremists to become more ferocious. These stories are amazing recruiting tools and more young people will now join the fight." Could I hope that by "the U.S." he means Newspeak and our other media betters who obviously have everyone's best interests at heart?
