A week or two ago, during a debate at a Latino function at which both Rep Tom Tancredo (R-CO) and Rep Chris Cannon (Rep-UT) were on the panel, Cannon suggested that Tancredo did not belong in the Republican Party. Perhaps that is the source of your rumor. Other than that I have not heard anything.
If Tancredo leaves the Republican Party, then so do I! In many ways I already have. I return their postage paid envelopes empty except for a nasty-gram about securing the borders. I voted for Republican Congressmen but voted for the Conservative Party in the Presidential Race. Here in Wyoming it was a foregone conclusion that President Bush would win so I was free to vote my conscience.
You're right about the incident. All I heard was "Tancredo asked to leave Republican party" when I was driving to work & I didn't get to hear the story. But here is a link to the Rocky Mountain News article about the exchange. http://www.rockymountainnews.com/drmn/state/article/0,1299,DRMN_21_3753626,00.html

I do the same and have even taken lately to running off articles (paragraphs, really) about illegals and the crimes they commit and sending them to President Bush. Want to make sure he is aware of what his illegal friends are doing.

Join the revolt...I'm calling it "Pesos for the Party." Instead of not responding or responding to their soliciations in an unkindly manner, I'm suggesting you send the RNC 10 Pesos (about one usd). Go to about any construction site for currency conversion. No words are needed in your reply.
