Last time I checked I dont riot and go crazy trying to free terrorists from prisons.

Karimov is also terrorist and you are rooting for him, knowing nothing about his opponents. There is no media converge, then I’m curious what makes you so well informed?

Huh? What makes you think they deserve it?

Uzbekistan is a Muslim country with a history of having terrorists groups stationed their with the support of the population.

The women and children were helping the terrorists break open the prisons by being human shields. The President is an SOB but the alternative is worse.

I know alot of people from Uzbekistan, and they fled that country mainly not because of that SOB President but because their are Muslim terrorists roaming all over the country.

The President is an SOB but the alternative is worse.

Remember the Shah of Iran he was a dictator and President Carter felt squimish supporting him so he let the Shah fall and look what happened.

It's a country of 26.8 million people, yet you want to condemn all of them to a brutal regime, because of the actions of a few thousand?

Yes, having these extremists take over would be worse. But maybe there's another alternative without condemning them to continued dictatorship under karimov?

Frankly we would be better off leaving the region altogether and focusing on becoming energy independent.

Just find OBL and crush al-qaeda.

One we become energy independent then Al-Qaeda and all Muslim terrorist organizations will be dead because they will have no funding!

How am I condemning them?

The country is almost 90% Muslim and they will want a theocracy.

That goes against our interests, and I am looking out for American interest rather than their interests.

Are you going to say now I am a unilateralist because I take that as a complement.

The Shah of Iran was no Karimov.

Shah of Iran was brutal and tortured those who opposed him just like Karimov maybe on the surface the Shah looked nicer but were similar in the techniques they used to stay in power.

Last year I was deployed to Uzbekistan for eight months. More Uzbeks came on our base to work than there were Americans present. Our fear level was zero. I spoke to many Uzbeks, especially women. They are _not_ ready to go Islamist; their secular state however flawed is vastly preferred to "those people to the south" as they term the Afghans. Uzbeks did not hesitate to convey their dislike of Karimov. What happened in Andijan has not yet been accurately reported. I still email an Uzbek schoolteacher who taught us a Russian class. She is not afraid to speak the truth.

The few photos to come out of Andijan and the Ferghana Valley show women in Palestinian-style hijab. Head coverings are _not_ part of traditional Uzbek dress for women, be it burkas or hijabs. The facts of Andijan are not yet known.

But I'll tell you human-rights activists one damn thing: the worst charge that's been leveled against the government of Uzbekistan is that it's an

ALLY OF BUSH! Therefore, UZBEKISTAN DELENDA EST!
